Preventive Healthcare Plan For Puppies:
  • Weight newborn on a gram scale daily. puppy should gain weight every day.
  • Monitor for external parasites
  • Beginning at 2 to 3 weeks, administer deworming medication every 2 weeks at least 3 times as directed by veterinarian.
  • At 3 to 4 weeks, begin daily testing of warm puppy food as a gruel in saucer.
3 To 18 days and older:
  • Human handing 5 minutes per day.
  • Increase solid food to 4X/day.
